Introduction to Clojure - September 2010 Report Back
For those that weren't there, you missed a great session! Len Weincier from GuruHut took us though the basics of Clojure and what makes it such an interesting language.
Clojure is a pretty interesting language available on the JVM and certainly very different from the standard Java fare. If you're interested in getting hands on experience with Clojure, Len runs Clojure workshops. Checkout the Facebook page for notifications. Hopefully we'll see another one soon!
The presentation ran a lot longer than usual due to the number of questions sent Lens way. Lens depth of Clojure knowledge was up to the task and I think everyone at the session learnt a lot.
Some of the guys brought laptops and did some hands on Clojure coding with the sprinkling of experts in the group.
There was a mixed crowd with lots of the regular faces and loads of new ones present. It’s great to see that the momentum built up by Geertjan’s session has continued.
We'd love to hear your thoughts on the session and the FJUG in general. Head over to the Facebook page and give us a piece of you mind!
